What you need:

1 Lb ground beef, preferably lean (93/7)

¼ tsp pepper

¼ tsp dried oregano

¼ tsp dried basil

¼ tsp seasoning salt

1 envelope dry onion soup mix (like Lipton’s)

3 cups boiling water

1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce

1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce

1 cup celery, sliced

1 cup carrots, sliced

1 cup cooked macaroni

¼ cup grated parmesan cheese

Cheddar cheese as topping, optional

 

What you do:

Cook hamburger and then crumble into a slow cooker.

Add peppers, oregano, basil, seasoning salt and soup mix. Then stir in water, tomato sauce and soy sauce. Add celery and carrots and cover crock-pot and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours.

Turn control on HIGH and add cooked macaroni and parmesan. Cover and cook on HIGH for 10-15 minutes. Add some cheddar cheese on top when serving.
